Norbert Grondzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Owsiak came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 18th minute of play forced FusbalClub Swietochlowice's goalkeeper Norbert Grondzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Vittori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Gai in the 21st minute. In the 26th match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sostene Vitulli to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, FusbalClub Swietochlowice's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Norbert Grondzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zaccheo Andolina made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cory Trevor in the 53rd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Siricio Liotta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siricio Liotta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FusbalClub Swietochlowice's Igor Glozor was substituted for Gilberto Gai. Norbert Grondzki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zaccheo Andolina showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 60 minute of play. FusbalClub Swietochlowice's Norbert Grondzki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save FusbalClub Swietochlowice from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norbert Grondzki. Zaccheo Andolina showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Norbert Grondzki was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Zaccheo Andolina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zaccheo Andolina really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Zaccheo Andolina scored 0-7 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norbert Grondzki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Norbert Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 80th minute of play. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. In the 83rd minute Italy were awarded a corner. Siricio Liotta went to the cornerflag to take it. 85 minutes into the match, Cyprian Cholewa notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Italy's Flavio Vittori. Flavio Vittori was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dobromir Basinski made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. 89 minutes into the match, Adriano Curto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Norbert Grondzki, 1-8. In the 92nd minute, Cyprian Cholewa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Igor Glozor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-8. Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Norbert Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Curto in the 96th minute of play. The Italy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Italy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
