But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. Santiago Caldera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. LLOPS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santiago Caldera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. LLOPS's Santiago Caldera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 8th minute of play. Santiago Caldera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takacs Tibor, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Santiago Caldera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Major Barna went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 16 played minutes LLOPS got a freekick which was hit by Zoilo Bellido. After 17 played minutes, Hungary's Antal Valentin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santiago Caldera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hungary reached it. In the 22nd minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Caldera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Venancio Huarte. Katona Janos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, LLOPS's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Santiago Caldera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, one of LLOPS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Santiago Caldera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Caldera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hegedus Henrik in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Caldera saved LLOPS from getting behind. Hegedus Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The LLOPS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hungary were winning 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Venancio Huarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. LLOPS's Xalvador Canyelles was substituted for Jimeno Guasch. LLOPS's Dario Garay was substituted for Honorato Dellasierra. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santiago Caldera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Antal Valentin in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after LLOPS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. The audience was convinced that Venancio Huarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. The LLOPS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
