The supporters of Taquaril SS booed when Chupingo el Pame was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Eleazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, José Paulo Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Russ Schultz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 13th minute Hermengildo Maura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Hipolito Ignado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eugênio Recife was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manuel Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Eugênio Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Maura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hipolito Ignado got free with Eugênio Recife in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Taquaril SS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Giuseppe Figueiredo hit a great ball. After 25 minutes, Piara Bronco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chupingo el Pame and the Taquaril SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Piara Bronco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Rodriguinho Rossi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Russ Schultz was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Pasha Sapulette struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Russ Schultz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquaril SS. Russ Schultz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Rossi in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, Taquaril SS's José Paulo Viana made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Russ Schultz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Manuel Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Taquaril SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Botelho couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Rossi in the 43rd minute of play forced Chupingo el Pame's goalkeeper Russ Schultz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Sixto Maureo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Taquaril SS's José Paulo Viana got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Taquaril SS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Hermengildo Maura made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Taquaril SS's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Maura came free, but Eugênio Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Hipolito Ignado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugênio Recife came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Chupingo el Pame's Gaudencio Oalo. But to his dismay, Gaudencio Oalo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Rodriguinho Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Russ Schultz made a huge save. Eugênio Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Maureo in the 62nd minute of play. With 63 minutes on the clock, Wellington Campidelis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Taquaril SS getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Wellington Campidelis hit a great ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Gaudencio Oalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chupingo el Pame's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaudencio Oalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute Sixto Maureo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes Taquaril SS got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Soeiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Maura in the 76th minute of play forced Taquaril SS's goalkeeper Eugênio Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rodriguinho Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodriguinho Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Russ Schultz made a huge save. Manuel Botelho came free with the goalkeeper in the 98th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Russ Schultz could save by the left post. Chupingo el Pame were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
