In the 12th minute of the match, Lucio Balesio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Generoso Gaxan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lucio Balesio scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Generoso Gaxan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Ireland 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Bermudez came free, but Generoso Gaxan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Leonel Criston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Ireland 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Balesio came free, but Generoso Gaxan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Generoso Gaxan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Balesio, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute of the match Herminio Izotz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Generoso Gaxan skillfully saved the ball. If Matias Fiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonel Criston might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Christobal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Criston ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidro Christobal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Criston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ireland 1921 getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jordan Walker hit a great ball. Herbert Banaszak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Kaider in the 35th minute of play forced DEPOTIVO SJ's goalkeeper Isidro Christobal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 played minutes DEPOTIVO SJ got a freekick which was hit by Herminio Izotz. 37 minutes into the match, DEPOTIVO SJ's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Kaider came free, but Isidro Christobal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Herbert Banaszak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Leonel Criston had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Christobal. DEPOTIVO SJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonel Criston was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Criston was the one to do the kick off. If Mario Ezkerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Christobal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Bilbo's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute Isidoro Bilbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Christobal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 62 played minutes DEPOTIVO SJ got a freekick which was hit by Timoteo Sazon. DEPOTIVO SJ's Isidro Christobal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Criston in the 64th minute of play. If Boguslaw Kaider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Leonel Criston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ireland 1921's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Criston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ireland 1921 booed when DEPOTIVO SJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Sazon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leonel Criston came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ireland 1921 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Criston couldn't finish the play. Isidro Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Bilbo in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Ireland 1921 booed when DEPOTIVO SJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Sazon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boguslaw Kaider took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidro Christobal. Isidro Christobal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Generoso Gaxan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Ezkerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Ezkerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, DEPOTIVO SJ's Camillo Tarantini got a free kick in the 90th minute. Matias Fiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Generoso Gaxan having to make a save.
