Isaac Terris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Elvio Ted came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the SOUTH AFRICA fans jumped to their feet. Lucio Balesio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Dominic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Isidro Christobal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artemio Jokin's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Elvio Ted might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Christobal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elvio Ted ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to SOUTH AFRICA getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Feliciano Osmundo hit a great ball. DEPOTIVO SJ's Isidro Christobal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Jokin in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After 56 minutes of play, SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Mel made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidro Christobal was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 60 minutes, Timoteo Sazon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DEPOTIVO SJ and the SOUTH AFRICA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SOUTH AFRICA booed when DEPOTIVO SJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Sazon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, SOUTH AFRICA's Artemio Jokin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidro Christobal narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
