The supporters of Taquaril SS booed when Ducktwig FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Forssberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltazar Azevedo took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hacı Ali Zafer. Hacı Ali Zafer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Baltazar Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hacı Ali Zafer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Baltazar Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hacı Ali Zafer having to interfere. Hacı Ali Zafer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltazar Azevedo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 22nd playminute. Martino Sana hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. When José Paulo Viana came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Taquaril SS fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Manuel Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taquaril SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hacı Ali Zafer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baltazar Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Hacı Ali Zafer made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Eger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hacı Ali Zafer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Viana in the 53rd minute of play. Taquaril SS's José Paulo Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 68 minutes, Baltazar Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taquaril SS and the Ducktwig FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ducktwig FC's Jakob Winström got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ducktwig FC's zone, José Paulo Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hacı Ali Zafer came out of the goal and José Paulo Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute Baltazar Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hacı Ali Zafer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patric Thorsberg got free with Eugênio Recife in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hacı Ali Zafer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Azevedo in the 87th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Baltazar Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taquaril SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltazar Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Paulo Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Hacı Ali Zafer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
