The Taquaril SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Paulinho Bueno hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Baltazar Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeca Matorin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltazar Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Zeca Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Azevedo in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Shamans FC booed when Taquaril SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Paulo Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltazar Azevedo to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Baltazar Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Paulo Viana was in a good position and ended up with the ball after Taquaril SS's free kick, but he didn't get a good hit on the ball and blazed it high and to the right of the goal. After 57 played minutes Shamans FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Macedo. In the 60th minute Manuel Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Taquaril SS's Manuel Botelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeca Matorin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Taquaril SS's Baltazar Azevedo in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, Shamans FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Macedo to maneuver through the defense. After 84 played minutes Shamans FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Macedo. Manuel Botelho struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Zeca Matorin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquaril SS. The audience was convinced that Baltazar Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeca Matorin was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Shamans FC's Paulão Macedo got a free kick in the 95th minute. Shamans FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Taquaril SS had won, even though Shamans FC had held more of the ball.
