The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO DONO's Bernabe Clemencin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidro Christobal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 7th minute of the match CLUB ATLETICO DONO got a corner. DEPOTIVO SJ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernabe Clemencin ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on CLUB ATLETICO DONO's corner Bernabe Clemencin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Isidro Christobal quite easily take care of the ball. Bernabe Clemencin struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Isidro Christobal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CLUB ATLETICO DONO. In the 14th minute, Filiberto Bermudez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matias Fiz charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matias Fiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an all-out effort, DEPOTIVO SJ's Aquiles Soter threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Matias Fiz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 26th minute, Matias Fiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DEPOTIVO SJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. CLUB ATLETICO DONO's Aquiles Soter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Fiz in the 35th minute of play. When CLUB ATLETICO DONO's Bernabe Clemencin in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DEPOTIVO SJ's goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th minute, Timoteo Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. If Lucio Balesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO DONO's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Balesio came free, but Aquiles Soter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Cristobal Luke managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Lucio Balesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 84 minutes, Lucio Balesio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DEPOTIVO SJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Balesio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mario Ezkerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aquiles Soter came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by DEPOTIVO SJ's Filiberto Bermudez. But to his dismay, Filiberto Bermudez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Isidro Christobal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Clemencin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of CLUB ATLETICO DONO booed when DEPOTIVO SJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Suero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of CLUB ATLETICO DONO's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. CLUB ATLETICO DONO may have spent more time on the ball, but DEPOTIVO SJ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
