Meshal Al Sayer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexi Mednikarov in the 8th minute of play. In the last second Vergil Karakolev throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nizar Al Mosawe in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Vergil Karakolev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sobah Al Mulaifi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 26 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Progreso's Totyo Trizlov made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Meshal Al Sayer was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 28 played minutes Club Deportivo Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Toshko Gatzev. Vergil Karakolev acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hani Al Mothaf. Sobah Al Mulaifi charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sobah Al Mulaifi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexi Mednikarov to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Fan Cup FC - ⓈⒶⒻⒻ booed when Club Deportivo Progreso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zheko Velinov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hani Al Mothaf took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vergil Karakolev. Club Deportivo Progreso's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fan Cup FC - ⓈⒶⒻⒻ's Shehab Abol got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute, Nizar Al Mosawe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vergil Karakolev was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 71st minute, Talib Al Besher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fayez Bahbhani hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Vergil Karakolev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Talib Al Besher in the 81st minute of the match. Fakher Al Youha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Progreso's goal looked a bit too open when Nizar Al Mosawe came free, but Vergil Karakolev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Totyo Trizlov struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Meshal Al Sayer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Deportivo Progreso. When the match was over Club Deportivo Progreso could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fan Cup FC - ⓈⒶⒻⒻ throughout the match.
