Frank Sachs took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Quintal. David Quintal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven Krakouer during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Júlio Furlan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fryderyk Kajdasz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Janik Vogt. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. In the 60th minute Fryderyk Kajdasz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Germany's David Quintal threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albin Holweck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 68 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Kajdasz came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Sachs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of David Quintal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 74 minutes, Joaquim Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Madrid FC and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Joaquim Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Germany booed when Real Madrid FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachariasz Juchno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germany's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Real Madrid FC had won, even though Germany had held more of the ball.
