If Jules Barrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Azzurri FC's Loramendi Valdivia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ianis Man in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Galati Harbour Cats's Antoni Dembkowski got a free kick in the 45th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidiu Pandrea during the 46th minute. Octavian Soare was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Tello was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Li in the 56th minute of play forced Azzurri FC's goalkeeper Loramendi Valdivia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Azzurri FC's Wally Lécuyer was substituted for Nelson Jodion. It was a well-played corner which Jules Barrett managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Tello in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavian Soare prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the game, Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Loramendi Valdivia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a little luck, Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare got control of the ball when Rosario Cardona tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match Azzurri FC got a corner. Galati Harbour Cats's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Denis Redd ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Denis Redd almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare did a great save. Carlos Tello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Soare having to interfere. Valeriu Zdrobiş kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Octavian Soare made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosario Cardona in the 90th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Tello during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Azzurri FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Carlos Tello hit a great ball.

In the 107th match minute, Azzurri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Ayala to maneuver through the defense. Shi Li who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 109thth minute tested the skills of Loramendi Valdivia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 110th minute, Jules Barrett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Denis Redd in the 113th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Galati Harbour Cats's Ianis Man.

In the 120th minute, Ovidiu Pandrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 122 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Tello. After 130 played minutes Azzurri FC got a freekick which was hit by Bartlomiej Winnicki. In the 133rd minute, Shi Li left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galati Harbour Cats fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
