Deportivo Ortegano's Rozarius Sanjurjo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Cubilla in the 7th minute of play. LA LUZ F.C.'s Tata González got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Luís Cubilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rozarius Sanjurjo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Cubilla in the 20th minute of play. Eguen Tavarez charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eguen Tavarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eguen Tavarez kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Luís Cubilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rozarius Sanjurjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Cubilla in the 23rd minute of play forced Deportivo Ortegano's goalkeeper Rozarius Sanjurjo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to LA LUZ F.C. getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Julio-César Montero Castillo hit a great ball. Luís Mejía made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Ignacio Gaig sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute Luís Cubilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rozarius Sanjurjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Mejía made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignacio Gaig in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

LA LUZ F.C. made a substitution. Andrés Torres replaced Raimundo Honesto. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Cubilla made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Ortegano's goalkeeper Rozarius Sanjurjo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. LA LUZ F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Julio-César Montero Castillo in the 54th minute. After taking down the ball on LA LUZ F.C.'s corner Julio-César Montero Castillo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rozarius Sanjurjo quite easily take care of the ball. Luís Mejía took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Vordenbäumen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, one of LA LUZ F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LA LUZ F.C.. Luís Mejía showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Gaig, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Manex Maja's late challenge caught a LA LUZ F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manex Maja helped the player get up and apologised. Manex Maja hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The supporters of LA LUZ F.C. booed when Deportivo Ortegano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manex Maja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aaron Goizeder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Rozarius Sanjurjo made a huge save. When LA LUZ F.C.'s Aaron Goizeder, in the 73rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for LA LUZ F.C.. In the 75thth minute of the game Ronald Vordenbäumen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LA LUZ F.C.'s Luís Mejía was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in LA LUZ F.C.'s zone, Ignacio Gaig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Mejía came out of the goal and Ignacio Gaig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute Tata González shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rozarius Sanjurjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute Juango Baroja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Mejía saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Mejía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juango Baroja in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Eguen Tavarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deportivo Ortegano fans cheered their team off the field, for while LA LUZ F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
