Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raiko Kündgen in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute FC Jena-Nord 02 were awarded a corner. Nessos Andreoulakis went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Nessos Andreoulakis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fodor Daniel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. Vörös Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Antal Valentin got a free kick in the 15th minute. Eusebio Atauri's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Hungary booed when FC Jena-Nord 02 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feddo Wons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leroy Rösch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Hungary booed when FC Jena-Nord 02 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Antal Valentin took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Eric McThomas to make any attempt to save it. In the 69th minute, Major Barna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antal Valentin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eric McThomas firmly grabbed it by the left post. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Jena-Nord 02's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leroy Rösch hit a great ball. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balazs Lajos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eric McThomas came out and tried to block the shot, but Balazs Lajos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 82nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Antal Valentin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eric McThomas. That made the score 1-5 in the 88 minute of play. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
