The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adan Galo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Joaquin Lucero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 4th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Lucero having to make a save. In the 16th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Galo came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Lucero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Lucero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The corner ended in Egbert Nijveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Joaquin Lucero did a great save. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. Arnout Reekers acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 36th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Wilfredo Maidana. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Adan Galo sent off a good shot on target. Generoso Matai kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Lucero came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Kerrigan Branson kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Joaquin Lucero didn't even have to move. Joaquin Lucero didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 54th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Gustaaf Groeneveldts short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Joaquin Lucero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wilfredo Maidana got a throw-in 60 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Adriano Di Domenico. Arsenio Maria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Arsenio Maria kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Lucero having to make a save. Wim Wilmes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Lucero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Joaquin Lucero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.MALVINAS.ARG from getting a goal against them. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Maidana in the 78th minute of play. In the last second Joaquin Lucero throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 81stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 83 minutes into the match, C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's goalkeeper Joaquin Lucero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 87th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Lucero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the C.A.MALVINAS.ARG defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Lucero. The C.A.MALVINAS.ARG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Lucero should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute, Lars Meesters fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joaquin Lucero, passed just outside the right post. C.A.MALVINAS.ARG's Joaquin Lucero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.MALVINAS.ARG from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netherlands had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
