Stanley St Clair might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prospero Elivareo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stanley St Clair ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bozkurt Tanyıldız had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Prospero Elivareo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanley St Clair in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Hechter was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Red Bull Villenhallen's Prospero Elivareo got control of the ball when Stanley St Clair tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Martin Kusko in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gençlerbirliği's Xie Hao Wei. Red Bull Villenhallen's Prospero Elivareo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull Villenhallen from getting a goal against them. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th match minute, Red Bull Villenhallen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Montrell to maneuver through the defense. Prospero Elivareo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Stanley St Clair sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute of the game Astor Velasco made a throw-in which Narciso Xabier played forward. If Stanley St Clair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The supporters of Gençlerbirliği booed when Red Bull Villenhallen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Xabier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gençlerbirliği played a much better game than Red Bull Villenhallen and deserved their victory. The Red Bull Villenhallen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
