In the 19th minute of the match Fúria Amadora FC got a corner. Young Boys Enschede's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cosme González ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Fúria Amadora FC's corner Cosme González fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kenneth Clarijs quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Abelardo Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fúria Amadora FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Mineiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Young Boys Enschede's Edgar Degens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosme González in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenneth Clarijs saved Young Boys Enschede from getting behind. The wind increased when Cosme González made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Fúria Amadora FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Maurinho da Rocha hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Young Boys Enschede's zone, Cosme González stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Clarijs came out of the goal and Cosme González tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 59th play minutes Cosme González shot 1-6, a short shot which went by Kenneth Clarijs and just under the crossbar into goal. Álvaro Baldaia struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Kenneth Clarijs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fúria Amadora FC. Young Boys Enschede's Kenneth Clarijs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Young Boys Enschede from getting a goal against them. Fúria Amadora FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Young Boys Enschede's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cosme González took the corner. Bican Koçak was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 67th minute of the match, Abelardo Mineiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kenneth Clarijs saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme González in the 71st minute of play forced Young Boys Enschede's goalkeeper Kenneth Clarijs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosme González might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Clarijs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosme González ran back to his position shaking his head. Cosme Gonzálezs short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Kenneth Clarijs to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 83 minutes into the match, Fúria Amadora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Degens came free, but Dito Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Álvaro Baldaia took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Kenneth Clarijs to make any attempt to save it. Cosme González could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Kenneth Clarijs made a huge save. Kenneth Clarijs stood somewhat misplaced when Cosme González came free in front of goal and shot 1-8 to the left of him in the 89 minute. When Álvaro Baldaia came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Fúria Amadora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Baldaia couldn't finish the play. Daan Driesen kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Fúria Amadora FC played a much better game than Young Boys Enschede and deserved their victory. The Young Boys Enschede players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
