The corner ended in Fabrício Dionísio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Young Boys Enschede's Kenneth Clarijs did a great save. Dorival Alvarenga might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Clarijs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorival Alvarenga ran back to his position shaking his head. Young Boys Enschede's Kenneth Clarijs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Alvarenga in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Dorival Alvarenga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kenneth Clarijs was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some careless play in the Young Boys Enschede defense, Dorival Alvarenga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kenneth Clarijs. The Young Boys Enschede fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kenneth Clarijs should have stopped the shot. Fabrício Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Young Boys Enschede's zone, Dorival Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 74thth minute of the game Dorival Alvarenga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Young Boys Enschede's Kenneth Clarijs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF's Dorival Alvarenga in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
