Luizão Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Magalhães in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington Lira got free with Luizão Diniz in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. DENVER™'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dráusio Garcia in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Alessandro Berger threw the ball into play from the sideline. DENVER™'s Dráusio Garcia quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Luizão Diniz came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by DENVER™'s William Magalhães. But to his dismay, William Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 21st minute Dráusio Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match DENVER™ got a corner. ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dráusio Garcia ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led DENVER™'s Chiquinho Silveira to fire away a dangerous shot which Luizão Diniz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luizão Diniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Washington Lira in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute William Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Washington Lira in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luizão Diniz saved ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's goalkeeper Luizão Diniz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Magalhães. William Magalhães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Luizão Diniz made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s Washington Lira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luizão Diniz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

After some careless play in the ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ defense, Washington Lira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Diniz. The ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizão Diniz should have stopped the shot. Luizão Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Rubens Tasso charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubens Tasso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Rubens Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's goal looked a bit too open when Dráusio Garcia came free, but Luizão Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Washington Lira during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
