Márcio Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington Lira in the 2nd minute of the match. A collision led to Guaratimon getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Luiz Gustavo Ferraz hit a great ball. Washington Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 6th minute Washington Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Washington Lira scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Márcio Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Lira in the 10th minute of play forced Guaratimon's goalkeeper Márcio Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of DENVER™ booed when Guaratimon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Gustavo Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Washington Lira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Márcio Nóbrega having to make a save. Márcio Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Lira in the 18th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Washington Lira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Márcio Nóbrega. Guaratimon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Washington Lira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. DENVER™'s William Magalhães quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luiz Gustavo Ferraz, made in the 28th minute of the game. If Washington Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 39th minute, Washington Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Márcio Nóbrega was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Washington Lira was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Washington Lira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Márcio Nóbrega. The goal made the score 0-7. José Augusto Passos made in the 57th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gilvan Gerber immediately put the ball in play. Washington Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Guaratimon defense, Washington Lira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Márcio Nóbrega. The Guaratimon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Márcio Nóbrega should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Washington Lira took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Márcio Nóbrega to make any attempt to save it. Márcio Nóbrega stood somewhat misplaced when Délio Campidelis came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 76 minute. Guaratimon's Márcio Nóbrega proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Guaratimon from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Guaratimon's Márcio Nóbrega got control of the ball when Délio Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. DENVER™'s Victor Batista managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luiz Gustavo Ferraz in the 85 minute of the game. Délio Campidelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Márcio Nóbrega made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Joel Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Délio Campidelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. DENVER™ played a much better game than Guaratimon and deserved their victory. The Guaratimon players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
