The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Dudu Berger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bernardinho Sharkin. Dudu Berger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bernardinho Sharkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Garro in the 6th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Dudu Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Sharkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beraldo Soberano kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Bernardinho Sharkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dudu Berger. A hard shot by Beraldo Soberano from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Bernardinho Sharkin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Andrade in the 21st minute of play forced VOTE MAZERMG!'s goalkeeper Adriano Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes Desportivo Coala got a freekick which was hit by Paulinho Prestes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Garro during the 28th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dudu Berger to make the kick off. The supporters of VOTE MAZERMG! booed when Desportivo Coala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Lopez in the 59th minute of play forced Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Bernardinho Sharkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60thth minute of the game José Vítor Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desportivo Coala's Bernardinho Sharkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Amaral in the 61st minute of play forced Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Bernardinho Sharkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. VOTE MAZERMG! were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Desportivo Coala's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Beraldo Soberano took the corner. The supporters of Desportivo Coala booed when VOTE MAZERMG! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Desportivo Coala's Onur Bekata managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Joélson Coutinho in the 74 minute of the game. After having played for 80 minutes, Wágner Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desportivo Coala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Magno Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VOTE MAZERMG!'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Desportivo Coala the free kick. In the 81st minute, Magno Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joélson Coutinho made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Desportivo Coala's Onur Bekata. Wágner Andrade in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adriano Carneiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Adriano Massa's late challenge caught a VOTE MAZERMG!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adriano Massa helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Desportivo Coala got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Massa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Amaral in the 93rd minute of play forced Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Bernardinho Sharkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Senna's late challenge caught a Desportivo Coala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Senna helped the player get up and apologised. Amadeu Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
