Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Betão Netto's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Vicente Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Frank Sachs sped through GUARANI E.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Augusto Terra. João Augusto Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of GUARANI E.C. booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Krakouer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias Albuquerque didn't quite understand what happened when in the 34 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anderson Seco in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute Vito Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Pires in the 42nd minute of the match. Betão Netto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. João Augusto Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardinho Pires was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes GUARANI E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Albuquerque. 64 minutes into the match, GUARANI E.C.'s goalkeeper João Augusto Terra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. After a rather tough play, Germany's Janik Vogt got a free kick in the 67th minute. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Bernardinho Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. GUARANI E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardinho Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Albuquerque hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 87 minutes, Betão Netto made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernardinho Pires struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GUARANI E.C..
