Serbia's Momir Gisic quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jânio Tróia, made in the 18th minute of the game. Anísio Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jânio Tróia got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Arthur de Brito. Sreten Popovic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Jânio Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Serbia getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Borjan Golubovic hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sreten Popovic to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in GAVIÕES F.C's zone, Sreten Popovic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Leme came out of the goal and Sreten Popovic tried to chip the ball over his head. Sreten Popovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Leme having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Sreten Popovic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serbia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GAVIÕES F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Serbia's Sreten Popovic got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Borjan Golubovic came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Serbia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Borjan Golubovic couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Serbia booed when GAVIÕES F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jânio Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Borjan Golubovic got free with Juvenal Leme in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Borjan Golubovic in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
