Carlos Fernando de Lara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Romeu Batista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Délio Araújo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Romeu Batista to make any attempt to save it. Aílton Varela was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osmar Marinho in the 25th minute of play forced Esporte Clube Zeus's goalkeeper Romeu Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Romeu Batista threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Osmar Marinho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 35th minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Délio Araújo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Romeu Batista. Romeu Batista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. 37 minutes into the game, Igor Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aesir FC FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esporte Clube Zeus the free kick. A collision led to Aesir FC FSCMZ getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Igor Porto hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Osmar Marinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Romeu Batista. Romeu Batista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. Romeu Batista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Fernando de Lara in the 43rd minute. Romeu Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Araújo in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Délio Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Célio Botelho's late challenge caught a Esporte Clube Zeus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Célio Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The wind increased when Rony Chaves made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Denílson Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Romeu Batista. Esporte Clube Zeus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Romeu Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Aesir FC FSCMZ's Délio Araújo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeu Batista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After some careless play in the Esporte Clube Zeus defense, Délio Araújo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeu Batista. The Esporte Clube Zeus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeu Batista should have stopped the shot. In the 86th minute, Osmar Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Romeu Batista. Esporte Clube Zeus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. After 92 played minutes Aesir FC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Cunha.
