Romeu Batista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Romeu Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurent Grauwen, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Zeus's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Wittemans came free, but Romeu Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Ramiro Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evandro Salgado's late challenge caught a Esquirla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Esporte Clube Zeus getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Evandro Salgado hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Ramiro Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeu Batista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bryan Marant went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Esquirla FC's Ben Wittemans got a free kick in the 25th minute. Luizinho da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tião Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ben De Neuter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Esporte Clube Zeus booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alek Verdonckt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esporte Clube Zeus's Luizinho da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olivier Winnepenninckx charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laurent Grauwen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Zeus's goalkeeper Romeu Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bryan Marant. Romeu Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Wittemans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Bryan Marant reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romeu Batista. The goal made the score 0-5. 61 minutes into the game, Rony Chaves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esporte Clube Zeus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esquirla FC the free kick. In the 61st minute, Rony Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Esporte Clube Zeus's Romeu Batista got control of the ball when Laurent Grauwen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laurent Grauwen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Romeu Batista came out and tried to block the shot, but Laurent Grauwen slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute, Esquirla FC's Laurent Grauwen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Romeu Batista. Romeu Batista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Esporte Clube Zeus's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Laurent Grauwen scored to the left of an out of position Romeu Batista, making the score, 0-8. Alek Verdonckt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Romeu Batista made a huge save. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Laurent Grauwen sped through Esporte Clube Zeus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Romeu Batista. After 82 minutes of play, Esquirla FC's Bryan Marant made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeu Batista was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, Alek Verdonckt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeu Batista was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Romeu Batista was a little too slow when Dedé van Beek got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-13. The Esporte Clube Zeus fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Esquirla FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
