In the 7th minute, Young Boys Enschede's Olof Wesseling ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bengt-Rune Petersson. Bengt-Rune Petersson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Young Boys Enschede's Ruben Spiering nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt-Rune Petersson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Matthijs Jaliens kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Per-Oskar Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacco Heesen having to interfere. When Björn Åhlberg came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Hedemora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn Åhlberg couldn't finish the play. After 40 minutes, Matthijs Jaliens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Young Boys Enschede and the Hedemora players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matthijs Jaliens kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Bengt-Rune Petersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Wesseling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rasmus Salqvist's late challenge caught a Young Boys Enschede's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rasmus Salqvist helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hedemora's Rasmus Salqvist got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When Benjamin Pettersson fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hedemora's protests and gave Benjamin Pettersson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Young Boys Enschede booed when Hedemora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Pettersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Björn Åhlberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Hedemora's Bengt-Rune Petersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Spiering in the 56th minute of play. Bengt-Rune Petersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olof Wesseling in the 58th minute of the match. Bengt-Rune Petersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Wesseling in the 60th minute of play. Olof Wesseling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hedemora getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Mathias Holmberg hit a great ball. The supporters of Hedemora booed when Young Boys Enschede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tjeerd Hulscher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Salqvist struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Jacco Heesen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hedemora. Matthijs Jaliens hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Matthijs Jaliens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Rune Petersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 minutes, Matthijs Jaliens made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hedemora's Bengt-Rune Petersson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bengt-Rune Petersson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olof Wesseling's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Bengt-Rune Petersson came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Young Boys Enschede's Olof Wesseling. But to his dismay, Olof Wesseling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Bengt-Rune Petersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthijs Jaliens, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Ruben Spiering had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th match minute, Hedemora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rasmus Salqvist to maneuver through the defense. Young Boys Enschede's Jacco Heesen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Young Boys Enschede from getting a goal against them.
