Geralt Wilk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Mitschullen SSA's Zenon Pawlik got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Metropol's goalkeeper Mané Viana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. That made the score 2-1 in the 86 minute of play. When Adalberto Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Metropol's protests and gave Adalberto Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. Adalberto Abreu hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. AC Metropol's Eduardo Favoretto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Denílson Santos, made in the 92nd minute of the game. The Mitschullen SSA support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
