After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Atilla Açıkalın managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Atilla Açıkalın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Velloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Bartoli got free with Batıkan Muhsin in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Revolución Joao FC's Leandro Bartoli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Batıkan Muhsin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Udalaitz Anel made in the 18th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Reynald Blache. The supporters of Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC booed when Revolución Joao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Abilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Atilla Açıkalın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Bartoli got free with Batıkan Muhsin in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Batıkan Muhsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aguinaga Casasola, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Leandro Bartoli kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Batıkan Muhsin. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Olavo Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Bokelund in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC booed when Revolución Joao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Bartoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Revolución Joao FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hasan Tahsin Polatalp took the corner. After taking down the ball on Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's corner Ulf Bokelund fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Olavo Velloso quite easily take care of the ball. Batıkan Muhsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Bartoli in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Revolución Joao FC booed when Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Bokelund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leandro Bartoli hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Atilla Açıkalın was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Leandro Bartoli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Batıkan Muhsin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the game, Zambrano Bravo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Revolución Joao FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC the free kick. Cuero Ibañez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batıkan Muhsin having to interfere. Atilla Açıkalın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Olavo Velloso made a huge save. After 68 played minutes Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC got a freekick which was hit by Vladislav Trúpchev. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Kasper Häll was substituted for Ulf Bokelund. Revolución Joao FC's Justavino Manaut was substituted for Udalaitz Anel. A collision led to Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Vladislav Trúpchev hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atilla Açıkalın in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olavo Velloso saved Revolución Joao FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Atilla Açıkalın sped through Revolución Joao FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olavo Velloso. Revolución Joao FC made a substitution. Matías Oyola replaced Omar Ayon. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Gunnar Fridli was substituted for Hasan Tahsin Polatalp. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Aguinaga Casasola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Batıkan Muhsin. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aguinaga Casasola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Olavo Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilla Açıkalın in the 94th minute of play. Revolución Joao FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
