Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Svend Betz took the kick off in the first half of the match. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Svend Betz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dušan Ančic to make any attempt to save it. 6 minutes into the game, Vince Haywood threw the ball into play from the sideline. FSX UNITED's Karl-Åke Kvist quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Víctor Javier Ebensperger kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Club Atlético de Newell's Pastor Eufemio got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, FSX UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Eufemio came free, but Ye Wei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Percival in the 24th minute of play forced FSX UNITED's goalkeeper Ye Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ye Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Percival, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Club Atlético de Newell defense, Svend Betz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dušan Ančic. The Club Atlético de Newell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dušan Ančic should have stopped the shot. Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético de Newell from getting a goal against them. After having played for 31 minutes, Karl-Åke Kvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FSX UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Åke Kvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Svend Betz struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Dušan Ančic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FSX UNITED. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devon Howson in the 34th minute of play forced FSX UNITED's goalkeeper Ye Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dušan Ančic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zebastian Spets in the 36th minute of play. Svend Betz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dušan Ančic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. FSX UNITED's Ye Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spike Foley in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FSX UNITED's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zebastian Spets in the 45th minute. Dušan Ančic made an important save on a dangerous shot by Svend Betz in the 46th minute. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético de Newell's Arbi Newell got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Percival to make the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Atlético de Newell! The referee gave FSX UNITED a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mircea Popilean, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic. 4-0. Devon Howson kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 58thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FSX UNITED's keeper Ye Wei was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 58 minutes into the game, Sebastian Percival lined in a short shot 4-1 behind a frustrated Ye Wei. FSX UNITED made a substitution. Thomas Cochrane replaced Evelio Matetich. FSX UNITED's Amancio Baesler was substituted for Svend Betz. FSX UNITED's Marcelo Salas was substituted for Mircea Popilean. Dušan Ančic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Baesler in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Wilton Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Atlético de Newell made a substitution. Amanda Hoffs replaced William Dunning. The supporters of FSX UNITED booed when Club Atlético de Newell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dušan Ančic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Baesler, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Percival in the 80th minute of play forced FSX UNITED's goalkeeper Ye Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pastor Eufemios short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Ye Wei to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dušan Ančic stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amancio Baesler's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Baesler came free, but Dušan Ančic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zebastian Spets made a great header on FSX UNITED's corner, it was just that Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 91stth minute of the game Spike Foley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FSX UNITED's Ye Wei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albert Gamble kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. FSX UNITED's Amancio Baesler got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Devon Howson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ye Wei came out and tried to block the shot, but Devon Howson slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 98th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlético de Newell players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FSX UNITED.
