Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Saint Glenn Gothenburg getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Edward Erserman hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. David Eikelkamp scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lennart Juhlin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Kees Mooiweer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lennart Juhlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 27th minute of the match. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Saint Glenn Gothenburg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 31st minute of play forced Saint Glenn Gothenburg's goalkeeper Lennart Juhlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Lennart Juhlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Demesio Faxardo got a free kick in the 40th minute. With an all-out effort, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ludwig Hägg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

In the 55th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lennart Juhlin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 60 minutes into the game, Jan-Åke Lindholm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saint Glenn Gothenburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. After 60 played minutes Saint Glenn Gothenburg got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Åke Lindholm. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lennart Juhlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 68th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lennart Juhlin but with some difficulty. 69 minutes into the match, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's goalkeeper Lennart Juhlin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Saint Glenn Gothenburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demesio Faxardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saint Glenn Gothenburg's goalkeeper Lennart Juhlin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lennart Juhlin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wim Wilmes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 81 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 84th minute of play forced Saint Glenn Gothenburg's goalkeeper Lennart Juhlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Lars Meesters kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lennart Juhlin. That made the score 2-5 in the 89 minute of play. When Wim Wilmes got free in front of the goal in the 93rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Lennart Juhlin was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 97 minutes, Ludwig Hägg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saint Glenn Gothenburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludwig Hägg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
