The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute Toni Mauzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ott Lüsi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Bosak in the 12th minute of play forced Pogoń - Tur's goalkeeper Ott Lüsi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ott Lüsi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neven Culina in the 14th minute of the match. Marian Zywiec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ilija Skugor made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Bogdan Bara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ilija Skugor. The goal made the score 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Martin Bosak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Croatia's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Bosak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ott Lüsi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Robert Niziolek fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pogoń - Tur's protests and gave Robert Niziolek a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pogoń - Tur's Robert Niziolek got a free kick in the 28th minute. Marian Zywiec in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ilija Skugor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Martin Bosak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Fryderyk Hyska ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilija Skugor was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Pogoń - Tur's Marian Zywiec in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Croatia's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Croatia's Ilija Skugor got control of the ball when Marian Zywiec tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marian Zywiec made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Toni Mauzer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ott Lüsi. The goal made the score 2-1. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Croatia! Stanislav Rysan shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a rather tough play, Pogoń - Tur's Waclaw Bycofski got a free kick in the 66th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinko Stankovic got free with Ott Lüsi in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toni Mauzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ott Lüsi having to interfere. Robert Niziolek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ilija Skugor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damir Pongrac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Bara, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, Marian Zywiec notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Croatia's Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pogoń - Tur's Robert Niziolek got his second yellow card of the match in the 86th minute. The referee ordered Robert Niziolek off the ground. The supporters of Croatia booed when Pogoń - Tur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Niziolek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roch Zdanowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. The supporters of Croatia booed when Pogoń - Tur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wawrzyniec Pilipiec didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pogoń - Tur's zone, Martin Bosak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ott Lüsi came out of the goal and Martin Bosak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th minute, Neven Culina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
