Fredric Gustafsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chris Nygaard's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leszek Ikalewicz got free with Keld Paulsen in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredric Gustafsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredric Gustafsson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaac Bocklund during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Jämjö hitters getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Isaac Bocklund hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jämjö hitters's zone, Chris Nygaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredric Gustafsson came out of the goal and Chris Nygaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fredric Gustafsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Jämjö hitters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Bocklund to maneuver through the defense. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jämjö hitters's goalie prevented a goal. After 27 minutes of play Jämjö hitters's Isaac Bocklund was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jämjö hitters's Fredric Gustafsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 31st minute of play. Fredric Gustafsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Vidar Pihlgren with Bror Lustig as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When Hristo Botev came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Jämjö hitters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hristo Botev couldn't finish the play. When Dominic Ramjohn fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jämjö hitters's protests and gave Dominic Ramjohn a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jämjö hitters getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dominic Ramjohn hit a great ball. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hristo Botev, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Chris Nygaard had several of the Jämjö hitters's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 61 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Fredric Gustafsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some careless play in the Denmark defense, Leszek Ikalewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. Bernt Åkerström hit a great ball. Chris Nygaards short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Fredric Gustafsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
