Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked off to start the match. Wuilker Fariñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 3rd minute of play. Wuilker Fariñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 6th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Estudiantes de Merida FC's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emiliano Lesardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 12 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from René Descartes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Estudiantes de Merida FC's Wuilker Fariñez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 31st minute of play forced Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalkeeper Wuilker Fariñez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Egbert Nijveldt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wuilker Fariñez quite easily take care of the ball. Wuilker Fariñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 34th minute of the match. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Maicon Brodel, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

The wind increased when Emiliano Lesardo made the kick off in the second half. Wuilker Fariñez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 51st minute. Gustaaf Van Den Wijngaert hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Wuilker Fariñez threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wuilker Fariñez was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Wim Wilmes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wim Wilmes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from René Descartes in the 75th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Wim Wilmes took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Wuilker Fariñez to make any attempt to save it. Estudiantes de Merida FC's Claudinei Canido was substituted for René Descartes. 82 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Lesardo came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Estudiantes de Merida FC's Wuilker Fariñez got control of the ball when Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Wuilker Fariñez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blagoy Gardakov kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Claudinei Canido cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
