Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hercule Basque in the 4th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jean-Marie Sanquer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jean-Marie Sanquer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jean-Marie Sanquer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Hercule Basque tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Frank Sachs sped through Perthes United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jean-Marie Sanquer. In the 23rd minute Hercule Basque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Loïc Curt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn. Loïc Curt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armand Mondon. Jean-Marie Sanquer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With an all-out effort, Perthes United's Tommy Kahn threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hercule Basque, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hercule Basque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes of play, Perthes United's Hercule Basque made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Perthes United's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Sanquer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Théophile Clarac kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Loïc Curt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armand Mondon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Hercule Basque put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. A collision led to Perthes United getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Patrice Lambolez hit a great ball. The supporters of Germany booed when Perthes United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hercule Basque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hercule Basque in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Loïc Curt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Joe Thetiot notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hercule Basque, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The supporters of Perthes United booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willy Stieler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hercule Basque in the 73rd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Perthes United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! With a little luck, Perthes United's Jean-Marie Sanquer got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Perthes United's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Marie Sanquer came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Hercule Basque cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-3. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Perthes United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
