Socavon FC's Fehmi Erdemer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Higinio Aguilera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Osman Ali Okutan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goal looked a bit too open when Artal Baltanas came free, but Higinio Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Ermengol Alberete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adan Inge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Sindo Porregimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higinio Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermengol Alberete in the 30th minute of the match. Socavon FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fehmi Erdemer in the 32nd minute. The corner led to Socavon FC's Maciek Cash getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Aaron Cresitobalo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Adan Inge got a free kick in the 46th minute. Higinio Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artal Baltanas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Los Hijos de Doña Beija players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Socavon FC were winning 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermengol Alberete to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Socavon FC's zone, Luís Fábio Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sindo Porregimon came out of the goal and Luís Fábio Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ksawery Furgal in the 54th minute of play. Socavon FC's Sindo Porregimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jyrki Sillanpää in the 94th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermengol Alberete got free with Higinio Aguilera in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Socavon FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Socavon FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
