With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yorrick Roorda in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inocencio Oidor saved alfa from getting behind. Zutphen SC's Dave Witting was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Inocencio Oidor in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A hard shot 12 in the game by Yorrick Roorda from a close distance when the talented Inocencio Oidor managed to make a qualified save. alfa's players were relieved. In the 14th minute Delmar Garikoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Gagriel in the 17th minute of play. In the 24th minute of the match, Yorrick Roorda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Inocencio Oidor saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. alfa's Inocencio Oidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save alfa from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Gagriel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. José Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to alfa getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Victoriano Daunte hit a great ball. Yorrick Roorda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Inocencio Oidor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Japke Sybring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to alfa getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Delmar Garikoitz hit a great ball. Inocencio Oidor was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dave Witting. The supporters of Zutphen SC booed when alfa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Llope didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 played minutes, Zutphen SC's Dave Witting shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inocencio Oidor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zutphen SC reached it. José Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Garikoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Lehior, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Victoriano Daunte charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victoriano Daunte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to alfa getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Victoriano Daunte hit a great ball. In the 45th minute of the match Dave Witting shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Inocencio Oidor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46th minute, Zutphen SC's Yorrick Roorda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Inocencio Oidor. Inocencio Oidor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The wind increased when Yorrick Roorda made the kick off in the second half. Dave Witting took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Inocencio Oidor. alfa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, alfa's goal looked a bit too open when Yorrick Roorda came free, but Inocencio Oidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inocencio Oidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucien van Damme in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Dave Witting managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zutphen SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Witting was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocencio Oidor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inocencio Oidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yorrick Roorda in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute Yorrick Roorda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Oidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Gagriel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but José Neto made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Zutphen SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while alfa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
