The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Gilberto Hats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Cannata in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Zutphen SC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Cannata came free, but José Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pastor Ihazintu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Gilberto Hats cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. José Neto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Pastor Ihazintu notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Zutphen SC's José Neto. José Neto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 24 minutes, Japke Sybring mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zutphen SC and the Urbs LC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Japke Sybring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Zutphen SC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Yorrick Roorda hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Gilberto Hats had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Neto. Zutphen SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Hats was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. The Zutphen SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Urbs LC were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when Pastor Ihazintu made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Pastor Ihazintu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Neto was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 65thth minute of the game Pastor Ihazintu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zutphen SC's José Neto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frank Cannata was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Urbs LC made a substitution. Ennio Di Marzio replaced Frank Cannata. With his leg José Neto managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Urbs LC's Gilberto Hats fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 72nd minute of the match, Ennio Di Marzio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Neto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zutphen SC's José Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Di Marzio in the 74th minute of play. With a little luck, Zutphen SC's José Neto got control of the ball when Ennio Di Marzio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eugenio Santoro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Witting's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Ennio Di Marzio took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for José Neto to make any attempt to save it. Urbs LC made a substitution. Anselmo Papetti replaced Arrigo Calcio. Zutphen SC's José Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Zutphen SC from getting a goal against them. Gilberto Hats in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of José Neto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yorrick Roorda during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Yorrick Roorda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Niek Fuchs fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zutphen SC's protests and gave Niek Fuchs a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zutphen SC! José Neto had great luck who in the 98thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ennio Di Marzio from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post.
