The crowd rose to their feet as Idrottsklubben -03's Stig Pettersson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Martyn Baiseitov. That made the score 2-0 after 24 minutes of play. Östen Björk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filipp Debabov's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Östen Björk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipp Debabov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Idrottsklubben -03's Bengt-Rune Ålberg got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig Pettersson to make the kick off. Roman Grin's late challenge caught a Idrottsklubben -03's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Grin helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes FC Caspiy got a freekick which was hit by Roman Grin. Östen Björk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filipp Debabov's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Östen Björk was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Petr Putyatin. After 61 played minutes Idrottsklubben -03 got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Gråberg. Filipp Debabov did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Östen Björk 64 minutes into the match. The goalkeeper, Östen Björk, was totally fooled by FC Caspiy's Petr Putyatin, who 70 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 2-3 became the score in the 73rd minute when Filipp Debabov elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Martyn Baiseitov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Hedkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Martyn Baiseitov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Stabbe in the 80th minute of play. When Stig Pettersson came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Idrottsklubben -03 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig Pettersson couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filipp Debabov in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Östen Björk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ingvar Bodin's late challenge caught a FC Caspiy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The FC Caspiy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
