The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of OLYMPIACOS FC booed when Braga Junior FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Norberto Mikelar in the 17th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Marcinho Pernambucano's left hand side. Braga Junior FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Everardo Bermudez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After a rather tough play, Braga Junior FC's Ricardinho Paiva got a free kick in the 81st minute. Marcinho Pernambucano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Eduino went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The Braga Junior FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching OLYMPIACOS FC's performance. The match ended with a win for OLYMPIACOS FC.
