In the 17th minute, Tomas Txatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisito Caradaro in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Azubeli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the game, VERΛ's Lorenzo Louis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iker Azubeli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Tomas Txatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. After the first half VERΛ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tomas Txatxu made the kick off in the second half. Iker Azubeli came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by VERΛ's Paulo Gonzalez. But to his dismay, Paulo Gonzalez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Iker Azubeli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Paulo Gonzalez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Iker Azubeli made a huge save. Iker Azubeli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Caradaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Luisito Caradaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Azubeli having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Hegoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Azubeli.
