Delmar Bartoleme came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚's Amauri Veloso. But to his dismay, Amauri Veloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚's goalkeeper Thomás Arantes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Gonzalez. Paulo Gonzalez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomás Arantes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of VERΛ booed when 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisito Caradaro got free with Thomás Arantes in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Lorenzo Louis could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Thomás Arantes however easily saved by the left post. Delmiro Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Luisito Caradaro put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Thomás Arantes. In the 41st minute, Teobaldo Hegoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delmiro Batista hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute of the match, Luisito Caradaro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thomás Arantes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Delmar Bartoleme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dida Arósio to strike the kick off in the second half. Delmar Bartoleme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luiz Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, VERΛ's goalkeeper Delmar Bartoleme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dida Arósio. After some careless play in the 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚 defense, Teobaldo Hegoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomás Arantes. The 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomás Arantes should have stopped the shot. Delmar Bartoleme came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚's Dida Arósio. But to his dismay, Dida Arósio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The supporters of VERΛ booed when 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, VERΛ's Eleuterio Ferdinand tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisito Caradaro in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomás Arantes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filipe Pitta's late challenge caught a VERΛ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Pitta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for VERΛ. Eleuterio Ferdinand stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thomás Arantes. 3-3. After 73 minutes, Delmiro Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VERΛ and the 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚 players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Teobaldo Hegoi came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the VERΛ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Hegoi couldn't finish the play. If Luisito Caradaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Rosendo Bidun put in a rough tackle. Rosendo Bidun kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Amauri Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the game, VERΛ's Lorenzo Louis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomás Arantes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Delmar Bartoleme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Rogério Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmar Bartoleme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 97 played minutes VERΛ got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Hegoi. For all the effort they put into the match, the 丅卂从卂-乇リ 下.匚 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VERΛ.
