Gao Fei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, Du got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danial Boon in the 20th minute of play forced Real Racing Club's goalkeeper Gao Fei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Danial Boon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gao Fei. Real Racing Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danial Boon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ezequiel Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gao Fei having to interfere. Albino Maiorga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yohan Carbonero, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes Deportivo Pomelo Nenene got a freekick which was hit by Danial Boon. Danial Boon's late challenge caught a Real Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danial Boon helped the player get up and apologised. Danial Boon kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yohan Carbonero in the 35th minute of play forced Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Albino Maiorga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gao Fei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danial Boon in the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Real Racing Club booed when Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Húmi Pomelin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oso Sigali made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Silvio Amato. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yohan Carbonero got free with Albino Maiorga in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Sixto Gurutz could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Albino Maiorga however easily saved by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sixto Gurutz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Real Racing Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Du in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danial Boon in the 58th minute of play forced Real Racing Club's goalkeeper Gao Fei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danial Boon scored 0-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gao Fei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giorgian De Arrascaeta hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Real Racing Club's Gao Fei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Real Racing Club from getting a goal against them. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's attentive Camilo Azubeli managed to snatch the ball when Oso Sigali made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Silvio Amato left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Racing Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Húmi Pomelin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gao Fei having to make a save. Gao Fei made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Húmi Pomelin sent off a good shot on target. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Camilo Azubeli quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Oso Sigali, made in the 81st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danial Boon got free with Gao Fei in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Albino Maiorga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Gurutz in the 86th minute of play. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Marcos Urtsin with Danial Boon as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 96th minute, Oso Sigali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
