The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Real Racing Club's Gao Fei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hershel Guertin in the 3rd minute of play. The Northmen Army were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Real Racing Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Viking Maagaardshus took the corner. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Northmen Army's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Du was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. After 12 played minutes The Northmen Army got a freekick which was hit by Markus Knutsson. Stig Bengtsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yohan Carbonero in the 16th minute. Nicko Kličko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gao Fei having to interfere. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Northmen Army's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Du was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. Stig Bengtsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yohan Carbonero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Real Racing Club booed when The Northmen Army was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicko Kličko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Yohan Carbonero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Bengtsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig Bengtsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yohan Carbonero in the 30th minute of the match. Giorgian De Arrascaeta hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Real Racing Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Northmen Army were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sixto Gurutz to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes The Northmen Army got a freekick which was hit by Markus Knutsson. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Göran Bergstedt during the 52nd minute. The Northmen Army's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicko Kličko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Real Racing Club's Fredrik Bredberg got a free kick in the 61st minute. Gao Fei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicko Kličko in the 62nd minute. The Northmen Army's Best Štriker was substituted for Hershel Guertin. The Northmen Army's Jorma Jääskeläinen was substituted for Nicko Kličko. Göran Bergstedt hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Yohan Carbonero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Göran Bergstedt was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Göran Bergstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, The Northmen Army's goal looked a bit too open when Yohan Carbonero came free, but Stig Bengtsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Yohan Carbonero came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Real Racing Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yohan Carbonero couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yohan Carbonero in the 82nd minute of play forced The Northmen Army's goalkeeper Stig Bengtsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Yohan Carbonero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Real Racing Club booed when The Northmen Army was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Ahlerot didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
