Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Edmundo Mineiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Elpidio Bala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Couto in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Irreal Madrid booed when Real Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Eliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisão Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Real Racing Club's zone, William Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Bala came out of the goal and William Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fermin Quintun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Mineiro having to interfere. Edmundo Mineiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Odol in the 28th minute. Edmundo Mineiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from German Iraido went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Real Racing Club's Eusebio Odol got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eusebio Odol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fermin Quintun made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Irreal Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when German Iraido came free, but Edmundo Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, German Iraido notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Irreal Madrid's Edmundo Mineiro. Edmundo Mineiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 70 minutes into the match, Real Racing Club's goalkeeper Elpidio Bala had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fabiano Dracena. German Iraido took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmundo Mineiro. Edmundo Mineiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 81stth minute of the game Eusebio Odol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Irreal Madrid's Edmundo Mineiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. German Iraido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Edmundo Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Fermin Quintun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Quintun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmundo Mineiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
