The Fabiofs fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Fabiofs's Leopoldo Coelho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Guillen Mijangos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 17 played minutes Fabiofs got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Valadares. Leopoldo Coelho hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Adelino Eger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geleberto Acaro in the 19th minute. Gustavo Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Valadares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fabiofs's Adelino Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Somellera in the 23rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Universitario's Adelino Eger threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guillen Mijangos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 31st minute, Tião Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karlo Gavilanes hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. A collision led to Universitario getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Iraido Arnaez hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Víktor Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fabiofs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víktor Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Víktor Loyola made a kick off. Leopoldo Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 66 in the game by Víktor Loyola from a close distance when the talented Matro Perramon managed to make a qualified save. Universitario's players were relieved. 69 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Coelho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matro Perramon. Leopoldo Coelho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Andy Somellera made in the 73rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cristobal Agranja immediately put the ball in play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Sydney Rocha put in a rough tackle. In the 76th minute, one of Fabiofs:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fabiofs. Fabiofs's Adelino Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidal Cantabrana in the 83rd minute of play. Adelino Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geleberto Acaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Víktor Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matro Perramon having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fabiofs's Víktor Loyola got a free kick in the 91st minute. Fabiofs's Adelino Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Somellera in the 95th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
