Zeca Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrado Quadros got free with Jardel Fernandez in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 11 minutes into the match, Wellington Phoenix's goal looked a bit too open when José Augusto Novaes came free, but Zeca Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Maranhense hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. José Augusto Novaes struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Zeca Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ITAFUT 4EVER. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Novaes in the 15th minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Zeca Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Augusto Novaes took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeca Santos. Zeca Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zeca Santos came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by ITAFUT 4EVER's Orlando Mineiro. But to his dismay, Orlando Mineiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. José Augusto Novaes scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeca Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wesley Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Santos having to interfere. Zeca Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Freitas in the 34th minute of play. Zeca Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Augusto Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gustavo Sabóia made the kick off in the second half. Jardel Fernandez came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Wellington Phoenix's Gustavo Sabóia. But to his dismay, Gustavo Sabóia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Zeca Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. ITAFUT 4EVER's Dé Favoretto got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jardel Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilmar Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeca Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Augusto Novaes in the 74th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Orlando Mineiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeca Santos. That made the score 2-4 in the 80 minute of play. Wellington Phoenix made a substitution. Juarês Teixeira replaced Amadeu Maranhense. Zeca Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Mineiro in the 85th minute. After 85 played minutes Wellington Phoenix got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Freitas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Freitas in the 92nd minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Zeca Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Cléber Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ITAFUT 4EVER played a much better game than Wellington Phoenix and deserved their victory. The Wellington Phoenix players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
