In the 13th minute Isaias Hera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gustavo Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaac Mijares kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Zeca Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Hera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Epifanio Bodon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastiano Oyardo had great luck who in the 31stth minute grab hold of the ball when Gustavo Sabóia from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Isaac Mijares took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeca Santos. Zeca Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Pablo Caceres hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Isaias Hera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Zeca Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaac Mijares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wellington Phoenix's Zeca Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Wellington Phoenix from getting a goal against them. Zeca Santos was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Isaac Mijares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Isaac Mijares really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Wellington Phoenix made a substitution. Belmiro Teixeira replaced Virgílio Alagoano. After a rather tough play, Wellington Phoenix's Juarês Ceresso got a free kick in the 64th minute. A hard shot 70 in the game by Isaias Hera from a close distance when the talented Zeca Santos managed to make a qualified save. Wellington Phoenix's players were relieved. In the 71st minute, Fútbol Club Insaar's Pablo Caceres dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Mijares in the 77th minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Zeca Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Epifanio Bodon took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeca Santos. Zeca Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Sebastiano Oyardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Linhares in the 88th minute of play.
