Garcia Gorostieta made in the 4th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristobal Agranja however managed to control. 7 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo EAS's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Somellera came free, but Cecilio Refugio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cecilio Refugio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geleberto Acaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Guillen Mijangos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cecilio Refugio came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Universitario's Geleberto Acaro. But to his dismay, Geleberto Acaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 20 played minutes Cachiyuyo EAS got a freekick which was hit by Iker Transito. Cachiyuyo EAS's Cecilio Refugio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geleberto Acaro in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Universitario's Garcia Gorostieta got a free kick in the 29th minute. Romulo Quirce's late challenge caught a Universitario's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romulo Quirce helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Cachiyuyo EAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Quirce to maneuver through the defense. Guillen Mijangos struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Cecilio Refugio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitario. Javier Ostots's late challenge caught a Universitario's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javier Ostots helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Geleberto Acaro came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cecilio Refugio could save by the left post. In the 59th minute, Natalio Laurin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Andy Somellera fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Geleberto Acaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Arnoldo Weterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Arnoldo Weterio fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cachiyuyo EAS's protests and gave Arnoldo Weterio a yellow card for diving instead. Cecilio Refugio made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Geleberto Acaro sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 77 in the game by Geleberto Acaro from a close distance when the talented Cecilio Refugio managed to make a qualified save. Cachiyuyo EAS's players were relieved. In the 81st minute, Javier Ostots hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, Natalio Laurin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matro Perramon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Laurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Iker Transito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andy Somellera was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Universitario played a much better game than Cachiyuyo EAS and deserved their victory. The Cachiyuyo EAS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
