Matro Perramon came out of the goal and Washington Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Baptista in the 5th minute of play forced Universitario's goalkeeper Matro Perramon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adelino Eger came out of the goal and Guillen Mijangos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geleberto Acaro struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Adelino Eger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitario. In the 12th minute, Leopoldo Coelho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matro Perramon. The goal made the score 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Leopoldo Coelho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matro Perramon. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 19th minute, Leopoldo Coelho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fabiofs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Universitario! 29 minutes into the match, Guillen Mijangos notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Fabiofs's Adelino Eger. Adelino Eger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Fabiofs getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Tião Valladares hit a great ball. Geleberto Acaro hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Karlo Gavilanes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, one of Universitario:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Washington Baptista walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Víktor Loyola made a kick off. Fabiofs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Universitario the free kick. Leopoldo Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match.
