Primatas FC's Cancelo Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Souza in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chico Paraibano during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Primatas FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Chico Paraibano hit a great ball. Ivo Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Maranhense in the 28th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Guilherme Souza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cancelo Gol. That made the score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. In the 39th minute, Guilherme Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Lúcio Maranhense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivo Ramalho. Imbituba - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lúcio Maranhense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cesinha Vieira to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Primatas FC's Lúcio Maranhense made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivo Ramalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute, Guilherme Souza made a precise shot to the right of Cancelo Gol. Primatas FC's Rubens Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
