If Nilson Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Nilson Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilson Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivo Ramalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Júnior Mattos's late challenge caught a Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júnior Mattos helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Imbituba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Mattos. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliézer Leão during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Imbituba - FSCMZ booed when Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Cesinha Vieira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rômulo de Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 18th minute Nilson Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rômulo de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Souza in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Isaltino Tande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imbituba - FSCMZ the free kick. After 27 played minutes Rondinone F.C - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Tande. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guilherme Souza in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rômulo de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute of the match Imbituba - FSCMZ got a corner. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cesinha Vieira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Imbituba - FSCMZ's Cesinha Vieira to fire away a dangerous shot which Rômulo de Almeida despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Rômulo de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guilherme Souza. After a rather tough play, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Frederico Britto got a free kick in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guilherme Souza in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rômulo de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rômulo de Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Souza in the 45th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guilherme Souza got free with Rômulo de Almeida in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Alcântara to strike the kick off in the second half. William Breckenfeld blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rômulo de Almeida having to make a save. Rômulo de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes of play, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Nilson Paraibano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivo Ramalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rondinone F.C - FDFDF made a substitution. Adriano Secco replaced João Vítor Alves. In the 65th minute, Róbson Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Souza in the 74th minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Rômulo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Ivo Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Prata in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Rômulo de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Cristóvão Linares was substituted for Cesinha Vieira. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Falcão Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristóvão Linares took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rômulo de Almeida. Rômulo de Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Imbituba - FSCMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
